You can use clickable links on Instagram and push free traffic from the app to your website with these easy-to — implement strategies.

For not being link-friendly, Instagram is infamous, but this façade is easy to fade.

Yeah, a regular Instagram post can’t be linked, but this doesn’t mean that the platform can’t push valuable traffic to your website.

Let’s delve into the strategic ways that the algorithm works and Instagram can add clickable links and receive free traffic from the website.

1. Use Your Bio Link

You probably added a link to your site when you first set up your Instagram profile (I’d say a link to your homepage)-and it’s been there ever since.

But so much more can be done by this little bio link.

This link can be changed as much as you want to point to any page on your web.

  • A website with a campaign.
  • A newly introduced set.
  • A featured plot.
  • A website about lead capture.

By inserting strategic call-to-actions in post captions that illustrate the importance of the link, then draw attention to the link. Things such as:

  • “Click our bio link to learn more about …”
  • “On the link in our bio, read the full storey.”
  • “Check out the link in our bio for more insights.” But there’s a gotcha with regular changes to the connect.

How are you going to handle old posts?

What if someone goes to your bio to learn more and discovers a different post from six months ago ? This is where you need a “link in bio” tool, so all of them can be governed by one link.

Several resources simply list links. It is doubtful that this would add much value.

You can curate a page that looks similar to your Instagram feed but shows your posts as clickable images thanks to the better “link in bio” resources.

But don’t expect a plan for “link in bio” to deliver its full potential overnight.

You will need to commit to be reliable so that you have time for your audience to learn to go and check the bio connexion for the details.

Add a call-to — action to your Instagram bio itself, to speed up the process.

A fast copy line prior to your bio link, such as: “Press to learn more about an article,” makes your bio link more actionable.

2. Link IGTV Posts

In their descriptions, IGTV posts will contain clickable links.

But users have to tap the post title to see the summary.

In order to get the most traffic, by including a call-to — action in the IGTV title, invite viewers to open your video descriptions or inform them about the connexion during the video itself.

3.Partner with Instagram Influencers

And what if:

  • Don’t you have a big presence on Instagram?
  • On your post or IGTV, do you get very few views?
  • You can’t link stories?

As you work on it, collaborate with an ambassador of the brand who has the scope.

This will not only reinforce the message of your brand, but also your sessions in parallel.

On Instagram, there are thousands of influencers, but a high number of followers is not enough.

Consider how their audience aligns with yours and how they will earn your brand ‘s endorsement.

When you hammer out the arrangement, ensure that you provide the influencer with instructions to use efficient calls for action to send their followers to your website.

4. Add Links to Your Instagram Stories

You may add a link to Instagram Stories that, if a user swipes up or clicks the native “See More” text at the base of a linked storey, will send traffic to your site.

Be sure to keep the base of the frame free to invite your followers to visit your website, so that the “See More” text is clearly visible.

You may also apply call-to — action stickers to ‘swipe up’.

About the caveat?

By getting more than 10,000 followers or becoming a verified account, you must unlock this linkable storey feature.

5. Make Instagram Stories Highlights

Use highlights to regularly push traffic beyond 24 hours from connected Instagram Stories.

You can group stories and permanently feature them on your profile with this feature. But not every tale is a highlight.

You want to shine your spotlight on a library of evergreen storeys strategically selected.

Or keep things easy and use a single story per highlight as navigation to your website’s main categories.
