A comfort zone is a place where you feel comfortable and your abilities are not being tested. In other words, comfort zones are comfortable, safe ways of existing and working, usually in a set routine. Do you think staying in there will help you?

  1. Realising that you’re in your comfort zone-

The most important aspect of getting yourself out of your comfort zone, firstly is the realization of the fact that it’s been a long time that you have been there.

2. Know your fears-

Write down on a piece of paper truthfully about your fear. Then write down the probable reason of your fear. Once you are aware of your fear, that is keeping you in your comfort zone and be ready to face them.

3. Set Your Routine -

Write down on your own some positive affirmations that you can say to yourself the first thing in the morning or before sleeping at night or it could be during a situation where you usually just chicken out. This would give that initial push that will help you get out of your comfort zone. i could help you with few affirmations like-

a. you’re fearless

b. Nothing can stop me from achieving what I want, not even myself.

c. You can do this. This is just a small block in the way of my success, etc.

This should be motivation for you to push harder everytime when you wanna give up.

4. Get out there-

Look out for the opportunity that you had saved a long back ago but didn’t had the courage to take it up. Just go for it. Get out of your comfort zone. Ride that bike, go out,talk to people, take that job.

5. Make Failure your Friend-

Yes you might not be able to achieve your desired goals in the first attempt. But that should not stop you from trying it again if you really want it. It might take some time but it will happen.

6. See the bigger picture -

It could be a temporary pain but a would definitely would give a permanent result-always look at the bigger picture. How do you see yourself after you’ve overcome that fear of yours. What’s the worse that could happen and what’s the best that could come out of this situation?

Conclusion:

Fake it till you make will be your mantra that you’ll have to memorize which will definitely help you to get you out of your comfort zone. Whenever you feel nervous, pretend that you have got this and just do it. Yes, this is a tough road but so are you.
